Kilograms, pounds, grams, ounces, stone — weight gets measured differently across countries and contexts. Cooking recipes, shipping labels, medical records, and gym equipment all use different units. This tool converts between them instantly.

Supported units
Milligrams (mg), grams (g), kilograms (kg), metric tonnes (t), ounces (oz), pounds (lb), stone (st), US short tons, and Imperial long tons.
A few things worth knowing
- Pounds and ounces: 1 lb = 16 oz exactly. For body weight in the US, pounds is standard; in the UK, stone and pounds are still commonly used (1 stone = 14 lb)
- Tonnes vs tons: Metric tonne = 1,000 kg. US short ton = 2,000 lb ≈ 907 kg. Imperial long ton = 2,240 lb ≈ 1,016 kg. These are three different units — the spelling matters
- Grams for cooking: Most European recipes use grams. A kitchen scale in grams is more accurate than cups for baking, where small variations in flour can change the result
